The day after my oldest daughter's 7th birthday, I woke up to repeated missed calls from my mother and my uncle. The first thing I could think of was, "No, guys, I made my car payment" however that was not what this message was about . . . my grandmother whom I called Nanie (I know it's misspelled but that is the way WE spelled it) who raised me most of my life and passed away unexpectedly. That was two months ago. I will spare everyone the regular emotions that everyone has when someone near them passes away but I will tell you what I have decided to do to help deal with this event in my own life.
Nanie lived her life in order. The right kind of order. And I don't. I have too much tied into things that don't matter and not enough invested into things that do matter. Hopefully, this blog/project will help with that. On this blog, I will be listing everything that I own for sale. Everything. I anticipate this project will last approximately 6-12 months but hopefully it will not take that long. As well as listing what I own for sale, I will also be giving a description of that item as well as why I thought that particular item would help me.
I also have goals with this project that are three fold.
1). To get rid of the clutter and distractions.
2). To unlock the value from items that can then be used for what I envision life to look like.
3). To honor the memory of my beloved Nanie, who knew how to prioritize.
I hope you all will find this project interesting and I hope we are able to grow from this together.
